Registration
Registration will begin around 8am. Drivers will form two lines, one for each registration worker. Registration workers will have a list of the preregistration names and numbers of entries on hand. Drivers will pay their $50 entry fee per entry (in cash), draw an appropriate number of seed chips from a bag, and receive an appropriate number of colored dots with entry numbers on them. A double entered car will be expected to have two dots on the bottom of the chassis. All cars should have at least one colored dot with an entry number affixed to the bottom of the chassis. In the unlikely event the race doesn’t sell out during preregistration, announcements will be made during registration as to how many entries are available for purchase.

Initial Pairing Process
Buy Back Round: Our pairing spreadsheet will generate a randomized pairing, then check that drivers with multiple entries aren’t running themselves during this round. If there’s a match, it will re-randomize until there are none. The randomization will tell us who’s in each lane. Our operator will keep up with the winners and who buys back on this sheet.

Ladder Pairing Process
Following the Buy Back Round, after buy backs are complete and closed, a single elimination bracket will be generated containing all drivers who won and those who bought back; based on seed chips drawn at registration. The ladder structure is based on NHRA Professional/FIA Progressive standards. Drivers are NOT guaranteed to not run themselves from round two forward. Round two lane selection is based off the seeds (chips drawn at registration), with the lower number seed running the left lane. Subsequent rounds will award lane choice based on prior round reaction times.

Per Round Pairing Process
All racers left in competition will be called to a staging area. A staging director will have the pairing/ladder and will direct racers to line up accordingly.

Double Entered Cars
Drivers who choose to double enter a car will be expected to either make multiple passes on the same charge or bring multiple charged batteries with them to staging. You will not have time to go back to your pit to charge batteries mid round. If you are not ready when your name is called, see the next section.

Driver Not Making the Call to Staging
We will have made multiple announcements and attempts to locate the driver, but if a driver isn’t in staging at their time to race, their opponent will have an option to put them on a 2 minute timer. If the opponent decides to forgo the 2 minute timer, the next pairs will be run until the end of the round at which time the missing driver will be put on a 5 minute timer. If he is still unable to make the call or if he is unable to make the call following the opponent requesting the 2 minute timer; the opponent will receive an competition bye run. A competition bye run will not affect the driver’s ability to receive an earned bye run, as dictated by how the ladder falls.

Staging Process
The christmas tree has a single stage indicator led per lane. If car is staged too far forward (deep), such that the guard beam is tripped, the red led on the christmas tree for the associated lane will become lit. Racer will move the car backward until the red led becomes unlit, while the stage led remains lit.

Race Process
Timing system settings will include a variable/random autostart timer (0.250 to 1.00 sec) activated when the computer operator activates the tree, instant green, and 2.900 dialin. First is worst infraction system, except for breakouts. Disqualifying infractions include but aren’t limited to: Red light start (foul), impacting the retaining walls (outside or center), elapsed times faster than dialin (worst breakout)

Payouts
The race winner will receive 100% of the class entry fees ($50 per entry/$3,200 Max)
The race runner-up will receive 100% of the first round buy back fees ($50 per buy back/$1,600 Max)
