Race 13 of our 2024 Points Series is in the books. It was a another great day at the Slab. The weather was awesome and the biggest regular season football game of the year was waiting for us at the end of the day.
We started the day out with our Dial-in Jackpot. Ten entries would take a stab at it. Brandon set the tone for the rest of the day running dead-on with a 2 to get his picture taken holding the jackpot.
The H2O Leak Detection and Pool Repair & RBA Racing 2.90 Index Class yet again was our most popular class with 27 entries. This was the competitors last chance to get some practice in for our upcoming BIG MONEY Race 3 in two weeks. Travis and Brandon would navigate the field to find themselves in the finals. Brandon got his picture take yet again, this time holding the 2.90 trophy. His 0.010 reaction and 2.93 elapsed time was enough against Travis’ breakout. Brandon has made a late season charge in the 2.90 points and is now within striking distance. Jonathan still leads, but only by 3 points over Mike. Brandon is only 1 point back from there.
Next up was the RBA Racing Open Bracket class. We started round one with 21 entries. The usual cast of characters were all there plus a special guest appearance by Johnny, who decided today was the day he was gonna sweep the winners bracket. Rick had three entries left in the losers bracket that he would have to choose from. Rick would slip up and turn it red giving Johnny the easy win and the trophy for the photo. Rick is running away with the points lead now, extending his lead over Brandon to 19.
The fastest class of the day was also the smallest with only 3 entries. Johnny and Ken would find themselves racing for the trophy at the end. Johhny would turn on the red light, leaving 16 thousandths of a second too soon and handing the win to Ken. Jimmy’s points lead was reduced to 9. There’s still time for JR to catch up but the window is closing quickly.
Finally we’ve got the RBA Racing & H2O Leak Detection and Pool Repair 2.50 Index class. We started with 8 entries. Which came down to Brandon and Robert. Robert wouldn’t be denied the race win or the championship as he secured both having the quicker reaction time and running 2.506 off the 2.50 index. Congrats to our 2024 RBA Racing & H2O Leak Detection and Pool Repair 2.50 Index Champ … Robert G 
Robert won 7 of 9 races this season, not for lack of competition. Enjoy it Robert!
