Race 9 was a lot of work and a lot of fun. We started the day off with heavy rain around lunch that blew water onto the track, requiring a significant drying effort. This set us back about an hour on our setup time. We rushed and ended up only 30 minutes behind to start open time trials.
We had a good crowd for such nasty weather. We had 18 Dialin Jackpot, 27 2.90, 26 Bracket, 6 Super Stock, and 7 2.50 entries.
We kicked things off with the Dialin Jackpot at 6:30pm. JR went 4.896 off his 4.89 dialin to take the victory.
The 2.90 index class came down to Brandon vs Johnny. Johnny turned it red handing the win to Brandon. Jonathan’s points lead drops to 7.
In the Open Bracket class Brandon made it through the winner’s side to force Rick to beat him twice from the loser’s side. Rick took the first one with a MOV of 0.0158, then Brandon turned it red by 0.0078 to hand Rick the win. Rick’s points lead drops to 15.
Super Stock would find the finals be between JR and Johnny. Johnny would turn it red, handing the win to JR. Jimmy extends his points lead to 3.
The 2.50 index class came down to Jonathan and Robert, both with two entries not having lost on either. Instead of running a bunch of races they decided to run a 2 out of 3. Jonathan won two straight to finally prove Robert can be beat in this class. Robert’s points lead drops to 3.
