Our first outing of 2025 is a reminder that we’ve got an awesome group of supporters and racers. Our first race of 2025 was one of two “preseason” race days happening in February. We saw a fair share of testing between rounds and some really great racing.
The dry tire outlaw cars were testing and we saw multiple racers in the low 2s, but Robert was quickest with a 1.89 before the end of the day. There was a fair amount of carnage and multiple instances of cars taking flight.
Our organized competition started with a Dialin Jackpot that saw David take the win going dead on the dial with a 6 to best the ten other participants.
In a change of pace, the 2.90 Index class wasn’t our most popular class but we did start with 19 entries. We’d see Travis and DeWayne make it to the finals with DeWayne coming out victorious and grabbing the first winner’s plaque of the year.
Open Bracket is always one of our most popular classes and this time it actually had the most participation with 21 entries. Caitlin would make it through the winner’s side having defeated Charlie in the final round of the winner’s side sending him to the loser’s bracket. Charlie would run the gauntlet to meet Caitlin in the finals, needing to beat her twice. Charlie would get the job done beating Caitlin twice to take the win and the winner’s plaque.
Super Stock was missing most of the usual participants for various reasons, but we still had three brave souls on the property. Finals were between David and Bennie. Bennie would take the win on his first race back after being on hiatus last year.
