Race 16 of our 2025 Points Series had some drama and a bunch of great racing!

The Pensacola Pool Services Dialin Jackpot was came down to the wire with everyone shooting for a perfect ET. Travis, Matt H, and David all missed the mark running just a few thousandths of a second too fast. The man on a mission was Johnny, who went dead on the dial with a two to grab the jackpot.

The H2O Leak Detection and Pool Repair & RBA Racing 2.90 Index class had 16 entries. Johnny slipped up in round one, but that would be his last slip up. He took winner and runner-up honors against a great field of competitors. Travis had the points championship locked up as long as he showed up. He took the opportunity to focus on his second entry in points, ultimately leaving not only as our 2025 2.90 Index Points Champion, but also with second place honors as well. He showed a level of consistency this year that couldn’t be matched and against some pretty tough competition. Big congrats to Travis!

The Open Bracket class sponsored by Emerald Coast Water Heaters & Emerald Coast Custom Rentals had 13 entries. This class was where the drama was poised to happen. Caitlin led Jonathan by two rounds at the beginning of the day. They lined up head to head for round two and all the marbles. He slept, she laid down a great pass, and locked up the championship! Matt and Jonathan met in the finals after the losers side runoff, with Matt grabbing the day’s plaque. Big congrats to Caitlin, who got to wear the crown take the big points pay day!

That’s a wrap for AtmoreRC’s 2025 Season and our time at Poppy’s. Big shoutout to our hosts for allowing us to use the space over these last 2 1/2 years. We’ve had some awesome racing there.

This isn’t the end for AtmoreRC, just the end of this chapter. Stay tuned for our upcoming 2026 plans, but for now we’re going to enjoy our winter break and recharge our batteries so we can hit 2026 with a full head of steam!
