What a blast! Race 12 of the 2024 Point Series was a gathering of awesome people enjoying a great Saturday. The weather started out great but took a turn mid way through. We then got a fairly heavy rain, which had zero effect on our activities other than everyone racing to gather up everything not under the roof or a tent.

The day started with the Dial-in Jackpot. 12 entries took a shot at it. It was looking like Brandon was gonna snag it, but at the last moment Jonathan’s 2.9100 on a 2.90 was just enough to edge him out for the win.

Our H2O Leak Detection and Pool Repair / RBA Racing 2.90 Index was yet again the largest class. We started with 34 entries and worked our way down to three entries including two of Travis’ entries and one of Jonathan’s. Travis sealed the deal with a 2.9012 off the 2.90 index to give himself the winner and runner-up honors. Jonathan’s points lead is reduced to 5.

The RBA Racing Open Bracket class started the day with 24 entries. Dewayne made his way through the winner’s bracket to meet Rick in the finals. The two RBA Racing team mates would split the pot 50-50 and race for the trophy. Rick had to beat Dewayne twice and would get the first win on a red light start. The second win wouldn’t be so easy. A double breakout would put Dewayne on the trailer and send Rick home with the trophy. Rick extends his points lead to 15.

Super Stock is the fastest class and it always fun to watch. After starting with 7 entries, the finals would come down to Jimmy and Catfish. Catfish would take the holeshot and get out front early with a faster 6ft time, but issues mid track would left Jimmy drive by and on to the win. Jimmy extends his points lead to 12.

The last class of the day was the RBA Racing / H2O Leak Detection and Pool Repair 2.50 Index, where we saw 10 entries fight it out. On today’s adventures of who’s gonna chance it guessing the instant green and get slapped by the variable autostart delay; the finals would come down to Robert and Jonathan. Robert would jump out to a holeshot lead early, but was unable to run the index. Jonathan crossed the finish line first, but broke out by 5 thou, handing Robert his 7th 2.50 win this season. Robert extends his points lead to 5.

As usual we appreciate everyone’s patience and participation to make the race go smooth. Big thanks to our volunteer staff for everything they do!
