Atmore RC is a non-profit organization dedicated to organizing and expanding RC car racing in Atmore Alabama and the surrounding communities.

The City of Atmore has graciously provided us with permission to use a great section of road at their Rivercane development for our events. Following the success of our “Light’em” series we were offered a great opportunity for a location much more impervious to weather, with a better surface and more/better amenities. We can’t thank the proprietors of Poppy’s and Atmore Market enough for their generosity.

We’ve got about 300ft of covered concrete dedicated to the track and shutdown area, with additional unpaved area for emergency shutdown. There’s plenty of parking, access to bathrooms, and refreshments available for purchase.

Our timing system is custom built and includes a fully functional christmas tree. We use a guard beam system with about an inch of rollout. Our system gives racers their reaction time, short time(6ft), start speed time(126ft), elapsed time(132ft), and speed averaged over the last 6ft of the track.

We organize our races efficiently by giving racers access to the racing brackets online and with real time updating. This let’s everyone know who they are running well ahead of the time they are expected to be ready for their races
