Today was a great day of racing with some great people! We want to thank everyone who came out and the whole team for a smooth show!
We had 10 entries in Super Stock and a strong field it was! Time trials showed almost every entry was in the 2.4s. As the day progressed so did the track and the tuneups. By the time racing started those 2.4s quickly turned into 2.3s as the fast guys started showing their hand. At the end of the day Tanner Parmer was left standing to collect the money and the plaque. Blaine Jeter once again showed some real progress and found himself in the finals to take the runner up honors.
Once again 2.90 was the largest class with 24 entries. As the track progressively improved over the coarse of the day we saw a bunch of breakouts round after round as the cars gripped harder and harder on the starting line. People were actually pointing out the rubber marks being layed down. At the end of the day the finals were between Rick Amendt and Jonathan Thompson. Rick was out front with holeshot but broke out, running too fast and handing the win to Jonathan. The photobombers were out in full force following the race!
The bracket class is always fun because it’s a true double elimination class. We started with 13 entries and Mallory Miller took her two entries all the way to the finals in the winners bracket, meaning Michael Miller would have to beat her three times in a row to earn the win. He was able to eek out the first win but she wouldn’t be denied and wrapped it up with a win on the second race.
We look forward to seeing everyone at our next race on Saturday October 14th!
